HALIFAX RENAMED BURGER TOWN

What's Burger Bash?

Halifax Burger Bash is a city-wide burger-eating phenomenon and fundraiser for Feed Nova Scotia put on by The Coast. Creative burger offerings either have a set price of $7, or a higher price with the restaurant making a donation to Feed Nova Scotia from every burger sold. The lineup guides patrons all over the city to new restaurants and old favourites alike, all in the name of burgers! Raising over $677k for Feed Nova Scotia over the past 9 years, it has become the largest fundraiser for the organization outside of their own initiatives.

THE COAST NEWSPAPER

Newspapers make great cities

For more three decades, The Coast has made a difference in Halifax. Our stories have changed lives, challenged the powerful, brought attention to new talent and supported small businesses. We have done our best to reflect back the city we live, work and play in.

But the business of running a weekly newspaper has changed. Facebook and Google are effectively a global advertising monopoly, targeting our traditional sources of revenue using our content as a hook. To keep supporting The Coast, please pick up a copy of the paper, patronize our advertiser clients and let your government officials know that print still matters.
