Nothing pairs better with a juicy burger than a ice cold Coca-Cola. During Burger Bash Coca-Cola will be giving out daily prize packs worth $100 to burger lovers!

Visit a participating restaurant and scan the QR code using the Get In the Loop app. Each day scans will be entered in a random draw to win!

Halifax Meet Your 2021 Halifax Burger Bash Ambassadors!

We are excited to announce the two winners of our 2021 Halifax Burger Bash Ambassador contest Juliana Murphy & Abby van der Jagt.

These ambassadors were chosen for their burger pride, enthusiasm, and their passion for the true meaning of Burger Bash – eating local, supporting Feed Nova Scotia and the love of our city.

Juliana, is excited about the amazing burger listings to come this year. Juliana says “every year I am blown away by the all the cool burgers that Halifax chefs create. Even better, #halifaxburgerpride means supporting Feed NS!”

Abby is dreaming big for HBW 2021, “Burgers for breakfast lunch and dinner. I will go out of my comfort zone and to try a wide variety of all the burgers Halifax has to offer!”

Juliana and Abby will each be awarded the infamous red ambassador sash and $500 to eat their way through Halifax Burger Bash, sharing their stories along the way!

With the announcement of the 4 week HRM circuit breaker we are postponing the May 13 – 22 Halifax Burger Bash date.

We know you have all been salivating with excitement for this years event and we can’t wait to support Halifax restaurants and Feed Nova Scotia when the time is right.

Enjoy your burgers in Fine Company – Meet Henry & Margaret

Our friends from Fine Company wanted to introduce themselves before Halifax Burger Bash started!

They can’t wait for your to enjoy a lager or IPA with your HBW burgers!

Henry, is the casual, quick to laugh and even quicker to lend a hand guy. He’s got all kinds of stories and loves telling them. They may not all be true (they’re definitely not) but they’re still a pleasure to listen too. It’s why Henry makes for such fine company.

Then there is Margaret. We all know someone like Margaret from Plaster Rock – or Margy as her friends call her. It’s easy to become fast friends with Margy. She’s fun, outgoing, always up for a good time, and keeps a fresh perspective on things. She doesn’t raise her nose up at anybody. In fact, the thing she loves raising most is a good beer with good friends. When Margy’s around you know you’re in fine company.

OPEN CALL: Burger Bash Ambassador ’21

The Coast and Fine Company Brewing are looking for 2 burger-loving-super-sharers to step up and be this year’s Halifax Burger Bash Ambassadors. Each winner receives $500 cash, an official Ambassador sash and becomes part of the Halifax Burger Bash hype team during May 13 to 22.

The 2021 Ambassadors will be following in the foot steps of 10 ambassadors that have come before you—tweeting and eating their favourite time of the year. Ambassadors will be the official representatives of Halifax Burger Bash and The Coast. You must be willing to:

eat out as many times as you can during Halifax Burger Bash at different locations around the city
eat, sleep, fart burgers
snap, hype and post your burger plates on to your social media followers using #HalifaxBurgerWeek
wear the sash and make media appearance on TV and radio to promote all the restaurants and their patty parties

Post a photo on Instagram showcasing how you love burgers—face paint, burger stack, costume, dance routine, song or flag are some of the entries from past years. Make sure to tag #HFXBurgerPride and @thecoasthalifax. Photos must be posted by April 18th 5pm. Two winners will be selected by The Coast staff and notified through Instagram on April 19th. Must be 19+.

Halifax Burger Bash 2021!

This week marks one year from when we decided to postpone the 2020 Halifax Burger Bash promotion because of the COVID 19 pandemic. The Coast offices were packed with passports, t-shirts, posters, swag and all promotional material labelled BURGER. During that wild week we were calling Dr. Strang’s office, the mayor, RANS and HBW restaurants wondering aloud what we never thought possible—is the city going to shut down? Are we going to deflate the 2020 HBW promotion? Well you know what happened and we can’t thank the whole city enough for sticking with us.

The postponed 2020 Halifax Burger Bash held in October was a great success with over 105,000 burgers sold and $126,000 raised for Feed Nova Scotia.

In past years, Halifax Burger Bash is scheduled for the week after Nova Scotia’s March break, when restaurant traffic dips. But this is still not a “normal” year for business. So after much consultation with our restaurant partners, we are excited to announce this year’s promotion date will be from May 13 to May 22. 10 days to get your burg on.

This year Halifax Burger Bash welcomes the new FINE COMPANY BREWING Co as our presenting partner. Brewed in Moncton, as part of Molson Coors Six Pints Craft division, Fine Company offers an easy-drinking Blonde Lager & Session IPA, sold exclusively across the Maritimes.

“We are super excited to be a part of Halifax Burger Bash. It’s an event we look forward to attending every year, so to actually be involved and have the opportunity to collaborate with so many great local restaurants is as good as it gets”, says Reagan Wynn from the Fine Company brand team. “We know it’s been a tough year for all, particularly the restaurant industry. With proceeds going towards Feed NS, we feel this is a chance to do a little good, for a well deserving partner.”
